"Should I take the cable car down, followed by a one hour bus ride and 40 minute walk back to the car on the other side of the mountain? Or should I go through the fog and finish my planned route, trusting the weather forecast that there won't be any rain?"
There goes the smart option.
Not to put my nose where it doesn't belong, but I would never take children on a tour like this. Passed another couple with their maybe 6 year old son earlier and the little guy was bravely climbing but obviously terrified and nearly hyperventilating.
